Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actress. She has starred in a variety of TV and film shows like "Christy" which is a comedy about a teenage girl named Christy Huddleston. Additionally, she's well-known as the lead in"The Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin is the daughter of a department-store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her professional career in acting when she was seven. Her aunt, who was a nanny to Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin get a part in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". After graduating from Yale University, she took acting seriously and was able to land significant roles both on the small screen and the large screen. Martin is also a photographer and a dancer. Mother of two daughters and a son, she is also the Lupus representative and promotes awareness of the illness every day since the death of her sister, who was age 19.
